Project proposals may cover all research fields relating to the domains and scientific disciplinary fields included in the ERC, as listed in Annex 1 which forms an integral part of the present call for proposals.

Starting Grant Scheme

• holding a PhD degree awarded no less than 2 years and no more than 10 years
• Projects selected under the Starting Grant scheme will be awarded a capital grant for the total eligible costs for up to a maximum amount of € 1 million per project.
• The maximum duration of the projects is 5 years.

Advanced Grant Scheme

• Principal Investigator must have been actively engaged in research for over ten years5-year-old at the most
• Projects selected under the Advanced Grant scheme will be awarded a capital grant corresponding for the total eligible costs, for up to a maximum amount of € 1.5 million per project.
• The maximum duration of the projects is 5 years.
